Plumbers Union Association in OK
Unions exist to protect their members from unfair wages, missing benefits, or unsafe work environments. UA Local 430 was created in 1997 and has been serving as a welders and plumbers union in OK since then.
We ensure you get the support you need for an excellent career in the plumbing industry. This support includes making sure you have a fair living wage, a good work environment, benefits that fit your — and your family’s — needs, and a secure pension plan to help support you after your retirement.
Our plumbers union association also helps you when you need to file any grievances with your employer to lend weight and support to you, as the voice of many is more powerful than the voice of one. We will ensure you have the work environment and benefits you need.
The UA Local #430 also provides you with the best 5-year apprenticeship program for those who wish to have a challenging and well-paying career with a secure future. We are proud to provide good jobs and a secure future for all of our students.
Our program includes sections on job safety, tool use, rigging and signaling, materials, soldering and brazing, welding, basic electricity, water supply and back-flow prevention, pumps, blueprint reading, plumbing and mechanical code, and gas, refrigeration, and HVAC installation.
All new apprentices must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. Journeymen must have their state plumbing or mechanical license to enroll in our training program.
